Documentation
Teb is a remote MCP server. Add it once per AI tool, sign in with your Teb account, and the tool gets three tools: save a handoff, resume one, list them.
Install
https://tebhq.com/api/mcp- Claude
- Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL → Add. Sign in with your Teb account.
Web, desktop and mobile. Claude Code: runclaude mcp add --transport http teb https://tebhq.com/api/mcp. - ChatGPT
- Settings → Plugins → Add → Create custom MCP server. Name
Teb, paste the URL as Server URL, leave Authentication on OAuth, tick “I understand”, Create as a plugin → Continue to Teb. Sign in with your Teb account.
In a chat, type@Teb, pick it from the popup, then write “continue T-XXXX” or “save this chat”. Without the mention ChatGPT may answer from memory instead of calling Teb. - Cursor
- Settings → Tools & MCP → Add custom MCP server. Add this to the JSON that opens, then click Connect next to teb:
{ "mcpServers": { "teb": { "url": "https://tebhq.com/api/mcp" } } } - Other MCP clients
- Any client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth: add the URL above and sign in when prompted. The same JSON as Cursor works for Windsurf, VS Code and Claude Code config files.
- Gemini, Grok, anything without MCP
- No install. Every handoff has a share link. Open it, copy the prompt, paste it into the tool.
Use
- In the tool where you are working: “save to Teb” (ChatGPT: “@Teb save this chat”). The AI summarizes the goal, the decisions, where you stopped, what is open, your style and the materials, and you get a code like
T-4K2Pplus a share link. - In the other tool: “Teb T-4K2P” (ChatGPT: “@Teb continue T-4K2P”). It continues from the next step and treats the decisions as final.
- For a project that moves between tools many times: “save to Teb, thread Nightlife App”, then “Teb continue Nightlife App” anywhere. You get the latest state, which decision came from which handoff, and what was decided earlier and later changed.
- Without a code: “continue what I did in Claude this morning”. The tool lists your recent handoffs and picks one. Add words to search: “find the Teb handoff about Supabase”.
- No Teb in the target tool? Open the share link and paste the prompt. Try a sample without installing anything.
The three tools
| Tool | Does | Writes? |
|---|---|---|
teb_save | Stores a structured handoff (optionally into a thread). Returns the code and share link. | Yes, creates one handoff |
teb_resume | Returns a handoff, or a thread’s latest version with its decision history, as a continuation brief. The transcript only when asked. | No |
teb_list | Lists recent handoffs or threads, with optional search and source-tool filter. | No |
What is stored
- The structured handoff your AI writes. For long conversations, or when you ask, also the full transcript; your AI tells you when it attached one. Say “without the transcript” to skip it.
- Transcripts are encrypted at rest with a key held outside the database and returned only when a tool asks for them explicitly.
- Free plan: 10 handoffs a month, kept 30 days, transcripts 7 days. Delete any handoff or your whole account from the dashboard.
- Teb runs no model on your data. Details in the privacy policy and on the security page.
